WHY NIGHTTIME BREATHING MATTERS

Better sleep starts with how you breathe.

Silent Seal is designed to encourage closed-mouth nasal breathing while you sleep — a simple habit that can become part of your nightly routine.

Encourages nasal breathing

Designed to support a closed-mouth nighttime breathing habit.

Secure full-mouth seal

Flexible, stretchy material designed to stay in place through the night.

Built from a nightly habit

Created from a founder’s own experience looking for mouth tape that wouldn’t come loose while sleeping.

WHY SILENT SEAL

Made to stay put.

After trying mouth tape that repeatedly came loose overnight, Silent Seal was created around a simple requirement: a flexible, full-mouth seal designed to stay in place while you sleep.

01

Full-mouth seal

Designed to cover the lips completely and support a closed-mouth nighttime breathing habit.

02

Flexible construction

95% cotton / 5% rayon non-woven material designed to flex with the face.

03

Secure nighttime hold

Strong adhesion helps keep the seal in place throughout the night.

Why I made it: The first mouth tape I tried kept coming off halfway through the night. Silent Seal started with wanting something that would actually stay put.

Made to stay put.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST NIGHT

Questions? Start here.

Mouth taping should only be used when you can breathe comfortably and consistently through your nose. Start with clean, dry skin and stop use if you experience discomfort or irritation.

SAFETY FIRST

Make sure nasal breathing feels easy.

Do not use Silent Seal if your nose is blocked or if you cannot comfortably breathe through your nose.

Do not apply to irritated, broken, or damaged skin. Discontinue use if irritation develops.

Silent Seal is not a treatment for sleep apnea or other medical conditions. If you have a diagnosed or suspected breathing or sleep disorder, speak with a qualified healthcare professional before using mouth tape.

What does Silent Seal do?

Silent Seal creates a full-mouth seal designed to support a closed-mouth nighttime breathing habit and encourage nasal breathing while you sleep.

Can I breathe with my mouth taped?

Silent Seal is intended for people who can already breathe comfortably through their nose. Because the current product creates a full-mouth seal, do not use it if nasal breathing feels difficult or restricted.

What if my nose is congested?

Skip mouth taping whenever your nose is blocked or significantly congested. Only use Silent Seal when nasal breathing feels clear and comfortable.

Is each strip reusable?

No. Each Silent Seal strip is intended for single use. Use a fresh strip each night.

Will Silent Seal stay on through the night?

The current Silent Seal uses strong adhesion and was designed around the frustration of mouth tapes coming loose overnight. Individual results can vary depending on skin, facial hair, moisture, and application.

Can I use Silent Seal with facial hair?

Use extra care around facial hair. Silent Seal has strong adhesion and may pull hair during removal. Applying it over clean, relatively hair-free skin generally provides the most predictable experience.

How should I remove Silent Seal?

Remove the strip slowly and carefully rather than pulling it off quickly. If the adhesive feels too strong, stop and gently work the strip away from the skin. Do not continue using it if removal causes significant irritation.

Can I use Silent Seal with CPAP?

Silent Seal should not replace prescribed CPAP or other medical treatment. If you use CPAP and are considering mouth tape alongside it, discuss that combination with the healthcare professional managing your treatment.

Who should not use mouth tape?

Do not use Silent Seal when you cannot comfortably breathe through your nose, when the application area is irritated or damaged, or when a healthcare professional has advised you not to use mouth tape. If you have concerns about sleep apnea, breathing problems, or another medical condition, seek professional medical guidance before use.

I didn’t know I was a mouth breather.

WHY I STARTED SILENT SEAL

I didn’t know I was a mouth breather.

I never thought much about how I breathed until a friend I met through basketball introduced me to breathwork, nasal breathing, and recovery.

When I tried mouth taping at night, the first option I bought kept coming off while I slept.

That frustration became the starting point for Silent Seal — a mouth tape designed to stay put and make a better nighttime breathing habit easier to build.

I still mouth tape every night. And I’m still learning.
